Position Description: Test Engineers
- Analyzes documented user requirements to determine test requirements from which the test plan can be developed for software and IT systems.
- Defines, designs, and documents unit and application test plans; automates the test plans via test scripts and executes the test script.
- May participate in the life cycle of risk management and software/hardware development.
- Responsible for process control during the execution of test scripts, documentation of results, tracking the elimination of defects identified by test script.
- Analyzes test results, documents conclusions, makes product and processes change recommendations based on analysis.
- Testing expert who ensures user requirements are specified, tests are developed that determine conformance to requirements, and that these specifications have been met.
- Directs and participates in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development and production with emphasis of meeting customer requirements.
- Ensures managers are fully informed of the quality status of the product.
- Ensures that tests meet customer requirements for cycle time, cost, and standards compliance.
- Performs Quality Control on test results to ensure precision, accuracy, and validity.
Minimum Requirements For This Position:
Multiple levels starting with people who have:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher and 5 years
- High School/GED and 9 years
- Associate and 7 years
- Master and 3 years
- Doctorate and 1 year
- An active DoD Security Clearance is a requirement and individual will be subject to a background investigation.
